After completing her graduate degree as a Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2015, Dr. Oelklaus went into the workforce in the Acute Care setting, allowing her the opportunity to gain experience with a multitude of different patients and their diagnosis in critical care. During this time she was trained in the NICU/PICU/Pediatric floors, and this experience solidified her desire to work in the field of pediatrics. She transitioned to a hospital based outpatient pediatric clinic where she worked with children of all ages, ranging from newborn to 18 years old and spent many years in this position, during which time she helped create the high-risk NICU follow up clinic. She then worked as a travel therapist for a few years, providing her the opportunity to travel the country and gain further experience in a variety of different settings, all of which further strengthened her passion in the field of pediatrics.  Though she has had the opportunity to work at a variety of stellar clinics, Dr. Oelklaus was inspired to start her own practice to better serve the needs of the Lane County Community.

She and her husband settled in Eugene in 2021 and have enjoyed being close to family as well having access to all the incredible hikes and outdoor activities Oregon has to offer. If she isn't working, you will find her on a trail with her husband and 3 dogs, reading a good book, or spending time with friends and family.
